Uploading a contact list is the quickest way to get your prospects into Ring.io Power Dialer. This guide walks you through the full process — from creating a new list to reviewing your uploaded contacts — with screenshots at every step.

Step 1: Open your Lists Library

From the left-hand navigation in Ring.io, click the Lists icon to open your Lists Library. This is your home base for every contact list in your account — you'll see existing lists along with how many contacts are in each.

Step 2: Create a new list

In the top-right corner, click the blue Add new button. A small dialog called "Add New Contact List" will appear.

Type a name for your list (for example, "My First List") and click Add contact list to save it.

Step 3: Start the upload

Find your new list in the table and click the Upload Contacts button on the right-hand side of its row. An "Upload a File" window will open.

Click the large dotted upload area in the center of the window, then choose your CSV or Excel file from your computer. You can also drag the file directly into the upload area.

Step 4: Preview info

After your file is uploaded, Ring.io shows you a preview of its contents.

Click the radio button next to the correct row, then click Next in the bottom-right.

Step 5: Map your columns

Next, you'll match the columns from your file to the fields Ring.io uses. On the left you'll see the columns from your uploaded file; on the right, choose which Ring.io field each one should map to.

For example, map "Name" to Name, "Company" to Company Name, and "Phone Number" to Phone. If a column isn't needed, you can leave it marked as Unmapped or remove it with the trash icon.

Step 6: Review and finalize

Almost there! This screen shows you exactly what will be imported. You can:

  • Scroll through all the rows to spot-check your data.

  • Switch between All rows, Clean rows, and Rows with issues to quickly see what needs attention.

  • Use Fix using AI or Find and replace to clean up any errors before importing.

  • Export the cleaned data if you'd like to keep a copy.

Step 7: You're done — and here are some more actions that you can use with your list

That's it! Your contacts are now in Ring.io and your list's contact count will update (in our example, My First List now shows 20 contacts). From here, you can select a list and use the More actions menu to:

  • Flush selected lists — remove all contacts from the list while keeping the list itself.

  • Delete selected — permanently remove the list and its contacts.
