If you are experiencing issues with the Ring.io Web Phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the Chrome extension can often resolve the problem. Follow the steps below to complete this process.
Uninstall the Ring.io Extension
In Chrome, click the Extensions (puzzle piece) icon in the top-right corner of the browser toolbar.
Locate Ring.io Web Phone in the list of extensions.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the Ring.io Web Phone extension.
Select Remove from Chrome and confirm the removal when prompted.
Reinstall the Extension from the Chrome Web Store
Once the extension has been removed, you'll need to reinstall it:
Open the following link in your Chrome browser: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ringio-web-phone/lajnbidhanhfplcpofpohfehilkchpmn
Click the Add to Chrome button on the extension page.
Open the Ring.io Web Phone
After the extension is installed, a pop-up will appear asking you to approve some permissions, and now you can access the Web Phone:
Click the Extensions (puzzle piece) icon in the top-right corner of your browser toolbar.
You should now see the Ring.io Web Phone icon in your extensions area. Click on it to open the Web Phone.
Optionally, click the pin icon next to the Ring.io extension to keep it visible in your toolbar for quick access.
