On occasion, outbound calls using RingLocal may be marked as Scam or Scam Likely but don't let this discourage you from using the service. Although there is no guarantee a number won't be flagged or blocked, below are practices that can be followed to minimize the chances of this, in turn increasing connection rates.

What precautions can be taken to prevent a number being flagged?

  • Monitor the amount of outbound calls per day from each number. A general rule of thumb is to place to no more than 250 calls PER day

  • A high quality lead list which may result in a reduction of outbound calls

  • Follow Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) requirements including adhering to all “Do Not Call” lists

  • Avoid using neighbor numbers to cold call large amounts of people with the same area code

  • Understand and follow your industry's regulations
