Understanding Power Automations and Their Impact on Normal Calling

Power Automations outside of the Power Dialer

In Ring.io, the Power Automations menu allows you to streamline your outreach by automatically taking action when a call does not result in a live conversation. This helps keep your workflow moving without having to manually drop voicemails or send follow-up texts and emails.

Important: Power Automations Apply to Normal Calling

A crucial detail to remember is that these settings are not restricted to active Power Dialing sessions.

When you enable options within the Power Automations menu, they become active for your normal, manual dialing as well. For example, if you manually call a contact and they do not answer, any selected automation (such as an auto-voicemail drop) will still automatically kick off, just as it would during a power dialing session and drop a voicemail.

Always review your active toggles before making standard calls if you do not want these automated actions to trigger.

Available Power Automations

You can toggle the Power Automations menu on the right side of your Power Dialing screen to reveal three distinct features:

Auto-voicemail drop if no conversation: Check this box and select a pre-recorded voicemail from the dropdown. The system will auto-detect the voicemail beep and leave the recording on your behalf when no one answers.

Auto-Email contacts if no conversation: Check this box and select an email template. If a call goes unanswered, the system will automatically send the chosen email to the contact.

Auto-SMS contacts if no conversation: Check this box and select an SMS template. If a live conversation doesn't happen, the platform will automatically fire off a text message to the contact.

Pro Tip: You can run these automations simultaneously. For instance, you can check both the Auto-voicemail drop and the Auto-SMS boxes to leave a voice message and immediately follow up with a text whenever a contact misses your call.
