Call scripts in Ring.io help your sales and support teams stay on message during calls. You can create scripts, assign them to specific departments, and add rich-text content blocks (called "subscripts") to structure your talking points. This guide walks you through the entire process from start to finish.

Navigate to Call Scripts

From the Ring.io dashboard, look at the left-hand sidebar. Click the Library icon (it looks like a small book) to expand the templates menu. From the dropdown, select Call Scripts.

View Your Existing Call Scripts

You'll land on the Call Scripts page, which lists all the scripts you've created so far. Each script shows its name and the department it's linked to. To create a new script, click the Add new + button in the top-right corner.

Name Your Script and Choose a Department

A dialog box will appear asking you to configure your new call script. Enter a name for the script in the Name field — for example, "My First Call Script." You can also optionally link it to a department by selecting one from the Linked to department dropdown. Available departments include options like Sales, Technical Support, Billing, and others that have been configured for your account.

Edit or Delete a Call Script

Once your script has been created, it will appear in the list. You can select a script using the checkbox next to its name, then use the More actions dropdown button at the top-right to perform bulk actions such as deleting the selected script(s). To edit the department or other details of an individual script, click the pencil icon on the right side of that script's row.

Open the Script to Add Content

Click directly on the name of a call script to open it. This takes you to the script's Subscripts page, where you can manage the individual content blocks that make up your script. If no subscripts exist yet, you'll see an empty state. Click the Add new + button to create your first subscript.

Write and Save Your Subscript

The subscript editor gives you a rich-text toolbar with formatting options including bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, headings (H1–H4), lists, links, text alignment, and more. Type your call script content into the editor area — this could be an opening greeting, qualifying questions, objection-handling responses, or a closing statement. When you're happy with the content, click Save subscript in the bottom-right corner.
