With Ring.io, you can use SMS templates to send messages that include information that infrequently changes. It's a great way to help you save time, adds an additional touchpoint and is an effective method of communication. Create and save a message as a template, and then reuse it when needed.
Before you start
Here are a few things to know before you create an SMS template
This is a premium feature and requires a Ring.io Business SMS plan
All templates created live in the Ring.io templates library
We log all inbound and outbound SMS to the CRM
If you need to create an email template, this help article will walk through that process
To create your SMS template
1. In the Ring.io Web Phone click the SMS dropdown arrow
2. Click SMS Templates to launch the Ring.io template page
3. Click on the library icon followed by Add new to create the template
4. In the message body, enter the content that you want
Ring.io Pro Tip: Attach an image (up to 5MB) or insert an emoji to add personalization to your message.
Use sms tokens by clicking the + icon to add elements to your message that are personalized based on the information you already have. For example, you can address your contact by First Name, Last Name or both.
5. Click Save as a new template and add a name to add the template to your Templates Library > click Save Template
To access your templates, click on the Library Icon. Use the templates library to preview, share or edit your templates
Sharing templates with your team
To share SMS templates with your team you'll need to go to the templates manager section> select the template you'd like to share> click on More actions and Share with others
Using an SMS template
To manually send a templated SMS, click the SMS dropdown arrow and select the SMS template from the dropdown. Ring.io will automatically send the SMS when a template has been selected
To send a templated SMS during a Power Dialer Session, click the Auto-SMS dropdown > select the SMS template. Ring.io will automatically send the SMS template selected if no contact has been made (if automation is enabled)
