As a sales engagement platform, one of the main things the Ring.io App does is allow you to make phone and video calls from your Chrome browser.
In order for Ring.io to work properly, it must have permission to:
Your microphone, so it can hear your voice when you speak to a lead.
Your webcam, so you can upgrade a phone call to a video session
Notify you, so you can see a screen pop when an inbound call or message comes for you and the Ring.io tab is not open or visible.
During initial set up, the Ring.io app may have asked you for these browser permissions, but if you denied them, you must reset the permissions manually before the app can reactivate them.
Here's how to do so:
In Google Chrome, open the App at https://app.ring.io/welcome and log in if asked.
On your browser toolbar click the Site Settings icon that looks like:
Click on the Reset Permissions button:
Click on the Reload button if asked.
In the Setup Checklist click on Step 2 "Give Ring.io needed permissions" and then click on the Accept permissions button
Grant all the permissions you are asked for
You should now see a green checkmark next to the Step 2, indicating that Ring.io now has the permissions it needs.
