When sending a SMS/text message that contains a web address that uses a secure protocol, the protocol may need to be included in the SMS/text message. For example if your website is https://www.ringiosupport.com, the message may need to be sent in this exact format. If the message is sent without the protocol, it's possible the message will not be delivered.

What happens if a text message is sent without the https://?

If a SMS/text message is sent without the https:// for websites that require authentication, our system will return with a Error 30008 message which indicates the message was not successfully delivered to the recipient.

This rule does not apply to websites that do not use a secure protocol. For example, if you are sending a SMS/text message to a website http://www.ringiosupport.com, the protocol http:// can be excluded from the message.
