How to configure voicemail for Departments and User(s)

This guide shows how voicemails are configured between users and departments. User's will need to set up their voicemail via their Web Phone.

Voicemail Configuration for User(s)

For unanswered calls to be sent to a user(s), make the following configuration changes in the Ring.io Administrator Panel. This will send unanswered calls to the personal voicemail of the user, not the department.

1. Click Department.

2. Under When no users are available to take calls, then: (select the user the voicemail needs be directed to).


3. Click Save Changes.

Voicemail Configuration for Departments

1. Click Department.

2. Under When no user(s) are available to take calls, then select the department the voicemail needs be directed to. Any user(s) assigned to the department will receive a voicemail notification.

3. Configuring voicemail for the department can be done under the Audio section. User(s) can select the standard Nobody is available... greeting or a custom greeting. Click Save Changes.

4. To upload a custom greeting, click IVR & Data Collection.
5. Click Add New Menu.
6. Create a Menu Name.
7. Under prompts, select Custom Audio.
8. Select your audio file.
9. Click Save Changes.
