With the Ring.io Android app take Ring.io’s sales engagement features and tools on the go

Compatibility

The Ring.io Android app can be installed on Android devices running Android OS version 13 or later.


Installing the Ring.io Android App

You can download the Ring.io Android app, from the Google Play Store. Tap Install and follow all prompts.


The mobile app supports calling via WiFi and cellular data.


Signing in to the Ring.io Android App

Enter in the email address and password, tap Sign In. If you don't have a Ring.io account, contact your Ring.io administrator or the Ring.io support team at support@ring.io.


Placing calls from the Ring.io Android App

To place a call, tap the Blue keypad icon and enter the contact phone number > tap the Green phone icon to place a call.

To place a call from Recent calls, tap Recents. Select the number or contact to start dialing.


Receiving Calls

To receive calls to the Ring.io mobile app, confirm the Receive Calls At is set to the Mobile app in the Ring.io admin portal or the Ring.io Web Phone. To learn more about call forwarding configuration, click here.

To answer a call, tap the Green Phone icon or to decline the call click the Red Phone.


Placing calls from a CRM

From a CRM Ring.io offers two ways to place a call.

  • Copy Phone Field: In the CRM long press the phone number to copy the number > launch the Ring.io mobile app > Tap the phone number field > tap Paste.

  • Tap to call: In the CRM tap the Phone number or Phone icon > tap Ringio to place the call.

Calling from Hubspot

In Hubspot long press the phone number to copy the number > launch the Ring.io mobile app > tap phone number field > tap Paste.

Calling from Zoho


In Zoho tap the phone icon > tap Ring.io to place the call.


Calling from Pipedrive

In Pipedrive tap the phone icon > tap Ring.io to place the call.

Calling from Salesforce

In Salesforce tap the phone number > tap the Green phone icon > tap Ring.io to place the call.


Placing calls from an email client and web browser

Supported browsers and platforms:

  • To place a call from Gmail, long press the phone number to copy the number > launch the Ring.io mobile app > tap phone number field > tap Paste.

  • To place a call from Google Chrome, long press the phone number to copy the number > launch the Ring.io mobile app > tap phone number field > tap Paste.


While on a call

  • Mute and unmute a call

  • Hold and Unhold call

  • Transfer a call

  • Choose an audio destination (speaker or Bluetooth device)

Muting and Unmuting a call: Tap the Mute button to mute and unmute the call

Placing a call on hold: To place an inbound call on hold, tap the Hold Call button.

Placing a call on speaker: Tap the Speaker icon to place a call on speaker

Choose an audio destination: Tap Bluetooth > select the Bluetooth device.

Transferring a Call

To transfer an active call tap Add Call > enter the phone number of where you need the call transferred.

Ring.io Pro Tip: You can remain on the line as a third party or disconnect safely without dropping the call


Logging Post Call Notes and Disposition

Enter post call notes and select the disposition (if applicable) post call > click Save. If a note or disposition is not needed for the call, tap Cancel


Viewing Call and SMS History

To view recent calls, tap the Recents icon. Scroll up or down to view all recent calls.


Sending and replying to text messages

To send and reply to text messages > tap Recents > navigate to and tap the message > type your message > tap the Blue arrow to send the message.

To attach an image, tap the Camera icon

To select an SMS template, tap the Notepad icon


Listening to Voicemail

To listen to voicemail, click the Recents icon. Tap Play to listen to the message, press Pause to pause the message.


Setting Outbound Caller ID

Use the Caller ID field to select the outbound caller ID number. This can be a Ring.io company, personal number or by using the Ring.io custom caller ID feature.

Ring.io Personal Number
Custom Caller ID
RingLocal


Ring.io Settings

To access the Ring.io settings, tap the Settings icon. User's can perform the following in the Settings page.

  • To receive inbound calls, tap the toggle to the ‘ON’ position.

  • To sign out of the app, tap Sign Out
